Transnational Training Programme in Málaga, Spain
Between 7–9 May 2025, the Spanish project partner CESUR – Centro Superior de Formación Europa Sur hosted a transnational training programme in Málaga, Spain, as part of the ERASMUS+ project “ADVANCE CIRCULAR – Linking Tourism Industry with VET to Embrace Circularity.”
The event brought together representatives from the tourism sector and related industries, along with VET organisations specialised in tourism from the four partner countries: Romania, Spain, Bulgaria, and Slovenia.
The main goal of the training was to explore the links between vocational education and the transition towards circular tourism, in line with the project’s objectives. The central theme of the sessions was: “Tourism & VET in Tourism Advancing Circular – Exploring the Possibilities.”
Over the course of the three days, participants had the opportunity to:
- share best practices in sustainable tourism;
- analyze current challenges related to implementing circular economy principles in tourism;
- discuss how VET (Vocational Education and Training) can actively support the green and sustainable transformation of the tourism industry.
The event significantly contributed to strengthening international cooperation between partner organisations and promoting innovative educational approaches in support of circular tourism.
